Guy calls up and asks for our Quality Director, I said "may I ask who's calling?" - snottily said "Bobby." ... now Bobby... you don't call up to my place of business and give me attitude. I'm not looking for just a first name here! Etiquette ("Hi my name is Bobby, I am calling from Metalogic for <insert name>, may I speak with him please?") ... no that's not what I got, then when I asked him where he was calling from and why he gave me attitude because I had the gall to do my f***ing job... "<insert name> downloaded some stuff from our website and I'm ...." by this point I quit listening and told him to hang on and that I'd try and see if he was available. I called up my Quality Director to see if he was available to talk to this jerk but he didn't answer his phone, I was going to go back and direct the guy to his voicemail but he hung up after like 30 seconds of being on hold... which lets me think this was a cold call because that's the usual time they only wait before dialing and harassing someone else.
