I like telling them they are calling a business line and that the company will be pressing charges against them for their phone calls. If they cannot speak English they should have charges pressed against them by the Government for the appropriate reasons. Thoughts?
They called my unlisted landline number at 3:27 PM PDT on 22 July 2016. The caller ID said "Out of Area". I did not answer. They left a long message (see below). My phone numbers are on the Do Not Call list. There is no Call Type for "Fraud" or "Swindle", so I called it "Debt Collector". I will report it to donotcall.gov.
Here is a transcript of the message, which was delivered using a computerized woman's voice. The first part of the message is missing because the computerized call did not wait for the answering machine's outbound greeting:
"... jury intending your serious attention. Ignoring this will be your intentional second attempt to avoid being issued an appearance before the magistrate judge or a grand jury for a federal criminal offence. My number is 202-558-2294. I repeat it's 202-558-2294. I advise you to cooperate with us and help us to help you. Thank you. Goodbye." (Various tones and beeps, then disconnect.)
