I received a call and I even returned the call. Stupid me. And then I looked it up online if it is really from IRS. It originally appeared from Egypt. Then called me again with Washington, D.C. as a location.
Anyway, I warned my family in case they too will receive call from this number.
Received call from 202-558-4580 that sounds I like you may be in trouble with the IRS. The IRS never calls. They will send you something in the mail when they want to get in touch with you. This is a scam, but it sounds very convincing and leaves you a number to get back in touch with them about the problem you have with the IRS. How do you report this to the IRS? I know I don't owe any taxes. One thing I do know is how the IRS gets in touch with people and calling out of the blue is not one of them. This scam might work on an elderly person or someone without any knowledge of how the government works and scare them into calling.
I just got a very threating message from this number saying this is David Officer Myers with the IRS if I do do not return his call all he can do is wish me good luck because something will happen to me. Is this guy serious, I am not stupid! I do not owe IRS nothing! But to threaten me! Wow! I should hire an attorney and sew his [***]!! That's wrong
