I just got a call, and stupid me I gave them my bank account number. I have no money in it right now, but I will be getting direct deposit on Friday! After that dude gave me a confirmation #, he gave me the 202-558-4595 # and to ask for Sofia Lopez. She then asked me to donate $255.05 application fee for charity. I told her I did not have the money she then told me to call back when I do and she would place that grant money on hold. They made it sound real when they said not to use it on alcohol, drugs, or gambaling. So now they have my account #, I didn't send them any money, but what should I do?
Call your bank *NOW*, tell them what happened and you want your account closed. Your bank may be able to redirect the deposit into the new account. You should also alert the depositor and tried to get the money in another way like a check.
They gave me a call on 12/10/2011 and asked me to pay a fee of $130.00 for charity before I could recieve my $7000.00 Grant. I told them that I could not make the payment in an hour so they told me to call Monday!!
I JUST RECEIVED A CALL FROM 1-318-433-3442 WITH A PRIZE OF $7000.00 TELLING ME TO CALL HIS SUPERVISOR THE SAME NAME SOPHIA LOPEZ AT 202-558-4595 ....SO I WILL NOT CALL HIS MANAGER SINCE I FOUND OUT THIS PAGE.....THANKS FOR YOUR ADVICE...PLEASE MAKE A NOTE ON THIS TELEPHONE NUMBERS THEY SAY THEY CALL FROM THE US GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT. CALLERS NAME SUPPOSE TO BE XANDER BOND.... CALL TYPE NOT SPECIFIED BY THEY SAY IT'S FROM US DEPARTMENT OF TREASURY
