The number that called me was 202-580-8134 and also said it was from the FTC but it was a he, named Michael. ALso in Broken English to the point I had to play it 3 times to understand. I had kept getting text messages that I had won free gifts, so I said I was calling the FTC. Then I got this. The FTC said they did not call me and that it was illegal for me to get those texts and those kind of calls.
Received 2 calls from 202-580-8132. A man claiming to be with the IRS. Said I was being sued and a warrant would be issued for my arrest. He said for the last 3 years my taxes have been filed wrong and I owed $3,900. He then told me I would be getting a phone call at 6pm this evening. I'm not sure what kind of scam this is they didn't even ask for any information. I highly doubt I owe the IRS any money let alone 3900. To my knowledge I don't believe they can issue arrest warrants either for that amount.
Received call from this number at my friend's parents asking for them and would only say 'it's urgent'. Then today said he David Miller was from 'Federal Gaming Board'. Bologna!
