These guys are getting sophisticated: "Hello human, this is Officer [insert randomly generated human name] from the I.... R.... S..." aka add them to the block list & proceed to keep on livin'
Same as everyone else! I got an automated message from an obviously fake 'IRS' caller, saying I had committed fraud. Ha. Like I earn enough to bother...
Same BS, with one exception, they left a 31 second VM on my Verizon cell phone that I can't listen to. I am guessing this is intentional so you can't play back the recording to the FBI or some crazy thing. Sometimes this happens with other callers on Verizon VM so I am not certain yet. I called back and could understand a single word. On a similar topic, does anyone notice that these scammers are also adept at leaving VM without us ever hearing the cell phone ring? Do these scammers ever think that there are folks like us on the GOOGLE thing? Thanks to whoever set this site up!!
They left me a voicemail on my Verizon cell phone as well, but not only was I able to listen to the computerized voice, iPhones are now transcribing voicemails and I took a screen shot of it. I didn't call back because people need to remember, the IRS does NOT call you or text you, they do everything in writing via US Mail. The only way someone will call you is if you have called someone at the IRS after receiving legitmate mailings and you are working with an agent. They do NOT leave automated or computerized messages. Even if they did, they wouldn't tell you out of the gate that there was something fraud or misconduct related. It's fear tactics, don't buy into them.
got a voicemail and a text from this number.. jeez.. how can the US government let these jack offs get away with doing this? I have dealt with the IRS in the past and always received a letter on an official document.. deport these hacks..
