I learned a trick to get scammers to stop calling. Call the number back and any other numbers you can get and harass them. Fill up their voice mail box and keep calling over and over again. Get them mad. I've bugged some of them for over 2 hours. I get way less calls from scammers now. After I harass them for several hours I call FTC and report them. 877-382-4357
I got a call from this numbers. When i called back they said they were from the us Treasury and second tine tgey called. They said i owed taxes abdci saided i was disability and no taxes were due and she hung up on me. I called back to find out what this sham was and she hung up. Then called two more tines and no answer. How can these people be able to do this especially with elderly peiple who get confused and get taken. Isn't there something someone can do with this sham?
No there isn't. The callers are hard core Indian and Pakistani scammer/extortionists and as such beyond the reach of US law. Invest in a call blocker and DO NOT pick up on numbers you do not recognize.
II call them back and harass them for hours and do anything I can to make them mad. The times they don't answer I leave long messages and fill up their voice mail. Then I report them to the FTC 8773824357. I get way less calls now. Same thing with sales calls. I order everything they offer and give fake credit card numbers. Believe me it works way better than anything else!
