Voice mail left from this number claiming to be from the IRS informing me there was a case filed by the IRS against me and I should call their hotline back. Person calling had a very strong Middle Eastern / Indian accent and he ended the call by saying "if you don't call back, I wish you the best of luck" - so like a real IRS agent would do :)
I recieved a call from 202- 591- 2173. The person had an strong indian accent. He was telling me I will be arrested in 2 hours, got me scared and at once I believed him but then call 911 to report it. I thought it could be a prank. The guy claim to be name G. Marshall.
Someone called my home phone proclaiming to be the Department of Homeland Security and stated that there was a serious case against me and that ignoring the call would result in a terrible fate. I think he finds people with foreign sounding names and then tries to scare them. In my case he got the name of the DHS wrong and made other grammatical errors in his message so could not possibly be taken seriously! But I am sure he has succeeded in terrifying many others.
Someone called claiming to be from Washington DC DHS office to tell me that my father is in big trouble, that the IRS has filed a lawsuit against him for fraud and gave me the number 202-591-2173 and to ask for a man name James Marshall who will give me the case details. Apparently this guy told me that my father who is a disabled veteran! Has committed fraud. Any who, I called the number it kept going to voicemail...I had a werid feeling about this that it must be fraud and boy was I right!

Somebody should do something about this guy with indian accent who calls and leaves these kind of messages.
