I got a message from 202-595-7034 about 4 serious allegations against me on taxes due. I was suppose to stay on the line while I got the $1786.00 in cash to send to them. If I did not comply, they would send federal marshals out to arrest me at home or at work, and maybe have to spend 6 months in jail. If you disclose this information to anyone, they will come and arrest you.
We received this call from a women who claimed to be with IRS saying they have been trying to contact us about money we owed and needed to call this number 202-595-7034 immediately.
Of Course we didn't because I knew IRS would not telephone...that the call was a scam!
We received a call from 202-595-7034 as well. The caller left a message saying that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against us. My first thought was to look up the number and I saw this post. Thank you for sharing your past experience with this caller!
I received an automated phone call from the "irs" starting there is a law suit against me. It sounded fake because they didn't have a case number or anything for me to reference. Especially since I am a student listed as a dependent on my parents taxes.
