Same here. Got text from someone saying that he wanted to buy my car that is listed on Craigslist ASAP. That he was OK with price and condition of the vehicle. Wanted me to send him my paypal email address and full registered name so that he could send the payment.
I just got a text from this number with a guy wanting to buy my car sight unseen via pay pal. This area code is from DC and is known for scams. Seriously, who buys a car sight unseen and pays via pay pal.
Thanks for your post -- I just received a text from this same number wanting to pay me for my car via Paypal -- sight unseen. He said he was fine with the condition and price -- but was not interested in coming to inspect the vehicle. I told him no thanks ... I live in the Western US and his area code in Wash DC.

Got the same text as everyone else here just now saying they are willing to buy my car in its condition sight unseen. They request I get a PayPal account so they can pay me right away. Sounds fishy. I would suggest to be aware and don't go for it.
