The phone number 202-599-4945 says ACLJ and has called EVERY day for the past 2 weeks. I will not pick up, but did this morning and there was no one on the line. Feel like I'm being harrassed.
I have a toll free number for them and that is the number they use to call from. They are currently fighting the atheist organization (Freedom from Religion) who might actually be the culprits behind this and not the ACLJ. The ACLJ is reputable and this is not their character. They are being set up.
Getting calls from ACLJ every day -- either from 202-599-4945 or 202-455-4707 -- when I do pick up the line is dead. If I do not answer they leave no message. This has been going on for about 3 weeks, and this seems like it just a harrasing call.
This is from the American Center for Law & Justice, which considers itself a "conservative alternative" to the ACLU (never mind the fact that the ACLU defended folks like Rush Limbaugh and Fred Phelps).
