Caller was Unknown Caller but the caller had an Indian accent claiming that the IRS has filed a lawsuit against me and that I should call 202-599-9603. They left this message on our answering machine 3 times in one day; very persistant. Same message each time, sounded pre-recorded. Caller also stated issue at hand is extremely time sensitive, and if I didn't return the call, the only thing he could say is "wish you good luck, as the situation unfolds on you".
Received a phone call from "unknown name" 202-599-9603. It was a pre-recorded / robo-call, with a man's voice, who had what seemed to be the accent of someone from India.
The call claimed that I was being sued by the IRS and must call back and return the phone call, which is when I hung up - believing it to be a phishing scam.
Clue one: robo call - not a real person
Clue two: the call did not identify me by name or try to confirm who the call was for - it just said "you"
Clue three: If the IRS was looking for me, I doubt it would come through as an "unknown name" or unknown caller.

there is no reason for the Internal Revenue Service to be calling my phone. If the IRS really had a reason to contact me, I would assume that they would be able to address me by my name.
this is clearly some sort of robo call. possibly a scam. almost definitely a fraud.
Robot Called saying he was IRS. We called back and talked to Robby Cooper with a heavy EAST INDIAN accent who wanted my attorney to call but did not know our name. The call was at 7:00 am.
