I reported this to http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/. Please make others aware, this is not real. We got a call from 202-602-1425 about a lawsuit, I redialed the number, the guy went on to say the IRS is suing us for over $4K, because they sent numerous request to our house and no one was at home, our asset would be frozen if we don't make the payment today via Bank of America or Chase. If we don't want to resolve now we would have to go to court and be prepared to pay $25K when judgement is made against us. I asked for a copy of the letter the IRS sent to get information, the caller said I had to go to the IRS today, I asked for the address of the IRS, the caller got really upset and said I was being difficult and i need to confirm that I'm going to resolve the claim today and I'm not saying those words, I asked for the IRS address again, to go in and discuss the matter, the caller started shouting that it had to be resolved now and then hung up. First of all aren't we all presumed innocent until found guilty, I find it very hard to believe anyone from the IRS will be so unprofessional, also IRS isn't going to ask for payment without providing any documentation nor confirming that I am the intended party.
I had two messages left for me today from this company, but it was unclear who it was or what company they were calling from. I did not return their calls yet.
Already received 2 calls today. First one around 8 am - thought it was work and then the automated message said to call this number back because there was a lawsuit against us. I did not call. Just received another call and had it go to voice mail. This is very annoying because our number is on the no call list. Can anything be done about this???????

I looked up the number and saw everyone comments. The IRS doesn't do anything unless they send it to you in writing or certified mail. Don't get taken by these scammers.
Just received a automated phone call about a potential lawsuit against me by the IRS. I came looking on the internet because I knew others had gotten this similar phone call. I really want to call the number back and give them a piece of my mind. What scammers.
