I just received a voice-mail saying there is a lawsuit filed against me. Left the number 202-602-1425.
after reading all the posts, its truly a scam!!!
Got this call, knew it was a scam immediately. First, the IRS does not use automated calls. Second, where was the certified letter. But best of all, the IRS was going to file in COUNTY Court? If they're going to scam Americans at least know how things work in this country.
I received the same call this afternoon. First of all I do my refund(federal and state) via paper because sadly I had my federal refund filed by someone else 3 years ago and they have been doing it every year since. Now, I have to deal with this scam. I just called the police to file another report:( this is sad when our government can not stop this.
