I too keep getting calls from this number on my work phone. The first few times I answered the call and the woman hung up on me. Now I just ignore the calls
For those of you that are getting called at work. I had them calling my families too, places I'd never even lived before. So I called them back from a different number and told them NOT to call such and such a number because I didn't live there. They never called that number again!
Also, for those of you that don't owe anything, either answer or call them back and tell them they have the wrong number. People give fake numbers to these companies all the time so they don't have to go through what you are!
I got them to stop along with a few others, Here is what I did. I have a fax machine set up on my line but it is set up to "manually pick-up" meaning if I have a fax coming in I have to hit the "Fax receive" button.. It picks up the phone call and starts its "Beep-beep-tone" thing fax machines do.. I saw this number come up on my caller ID while sitting at my desk and hit the "Receive call" button on the fax machine..
I assume there computer system told them my number is not a phone number and rather a fax machine.. And walla, no more calls have been coming in from them, I have stared to do this every time I see a number come up that I know calls me 8-10 times a day and I now receive only 1-2 calls a day.. I am guessing there computer systems are automatically removing my number from the computer lists as it is being found it is not a residential landline phone...
since this agency deals with collections mostly from verizon ,they should look into this. i never had nor will have an account with them due to this constant usage of the airwaves
I agree with every1 in these postings b/c these dummies are rude and call over 15 times a day from different numbers the more people report the better it is to bring back the fair credit reporting act! MAKE SURE AND REPORT THEM TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU
