I got the same call, I believe it might be a scam otherwise we all would have received some sort of official documents stating that the IRS is filing lawsuits against us
Yes, it is most definitely a SCAM. Unfortunately, not everyone is as smart as you and these thieves have stolen millions from unsuspecting victims. Block the number and don't be surprised if you get more of such calls from different numbers. Until our laws change, Americans will continue to be victims. Read the IRS warning here:
