the number they actually provided to me for the Financial Account Dept is (202) 621-0203.
i received a call earlier this afternoon regarding "free" grant money provided by the government. the convincing women said she was calling from U.S. Government Grants Dept,Washington DC, and would like to give me $8000 just fo being a good citizen. She said I was selected through a Democratic Survey. She said its non-taxable, non-refundable, and this only happens once in a lifetime. Then she gave me the number to the Financiial Account Dept.
There is a 1 time processing fee of $95 and that I would have to send this money through Western Union. Once I got to Western Union they advised me that there is a SCAM going on. Same scenario. Western Union reps sure knew exactly what was going on.
i received the same call on the same day.... this lady did sound convincing. she said the same thing about the one time processing fee of $95. was wondering where we could report this scam.
i received a call from the same department and said the same exact thing. I want to report this as a scam. the next day they call my parents house and said the same thing. SCAM!!!!
