I just received two phone calls back to back!! Supposedly, I am going to be arrested within the hour for owing bills?? Really, then the jailhouse is going to be awfully crowded with most of America. This is ridiculous, how do they get away with doing this? If ANYONE says these are real, they are just as idiotic as the people calling. Get a life people. Yes, I owe money for bills, it is a civil matter, IF they were that delinquent, not CRIMINAL. It is just awful how they try to intimidate people.
We received a similar call in Florida from "Amy Walters of the Financial Crimes Division of Washington, DC." But it is for my brother-in-law who lives in another state. We considering it a prank or attempt to extort money.
