Caller said that I have committed a federal felony and that I should give my self up to the police.. Same call came again form NY 646-751629. I should talk to a John Harris.I called the 646 number and a male voice answered . When I ask him if he is John Harris he said I have the wrong number.Similar call came form 202-864-1388 and left the same voice message that i should a John Harris.I suspect this t be a scam.
These scam artist are so pathetic. Normally, I do not answer the phone they called; however, I did so this time because of the 202 (Washington DC) area code. I figured it was the fake IRS once again calling for the Indian couple who had this number 5+ years ago. Just before 4:30 PM ET, received a computerized call from 202-864-1388. The message was to inform me that a Federal complaint has been filed, and I need to IMMEDIATELY surrender myself to the nearest police station, or contact John Harris at the aforementioned number.
LOL....I'm going to get right on that one! Perhaps I should call the police chief on his cell phone and surrender to him personally. After all, I have a working relationship with him and the entire PD in my community (some may enjoy arresting me). I'm such a hardcore felon, so I must have committed some heinous Federal crime. :) They really should put a little effort into their operation and research who they're trying to scam.
