A man was pretending to be military online, and I immediately knew he was a fake. He was just to stupid. So, I started collecting data on him. Track in everything he said, and I kept copies of everything. He wanted a phone bought for him, and I refused. Then, he pretended that it was a surprise, and he called from 202-642-9402. He had a Spanish accent. I took the number while he spoke, and I looked it up online. It finally showed up on a list of Russian number. Then, he asked for plane ticket money. Then, thats when I confronted him with all the data. He is a part of a dating scam. I also informed him that all data that was collected was sent to CID. Hopefully, this will be a strike back for us.
