Spam..got same exact thing..have seen many others on different sites getting the EXACT same message from some [***] or Indian sounding woman...If it was the IRS I'm certain your local office would contact you..not WASHINGTON DC...plus I also found this number linked to a business in VA.
One need to "tune" their ears to understand this horribly accented speaker, who could well be from India. I understood her as saying her name was "Jessica Roland". Strange name for someone who sounds so foreign.
She basically says that you, or your lawyer should contact her at once, its time-critical. She continues, in a threatening tone: if you don't call back, I wish you luck, the tone indicating you are in serious trouble if you do not follow her advice.
==========================
The IRS would always send mail, they WANT a paper trail. Do not be intimidated by this scumbag, she is a fake, she cannot hurt you. Please don't reward this piece of human garbage by giving her any info including SS# or credit card #.
NOTHING!! Got it?
Same as others have reported, recorded message from "Jessica Rowland of the IRS" threatening action over a serious matter. Yeah, you with the thick Indian accent, that's really your name. Scammer scum! It makes me want to disconnect my landline.
My elderly father was taken with this IRS scam. He was scammed for 500.00 dollars. Through a money pak green dot card. They gave their names as officer kevin? and Jessica roland. they then wanted another 3 500 dollar money paks. That morning he did go to a tax preparer to take care of a estate problem. then this happened that afternoon so he thought this was part of it.He was ashamed of his self. we were brought up honest. you cant trust anybody anymore.
