I just received a call from somewhere with a man who I could barely understand. He gave me the # to call with an ID code to give them. So, I called the #. The man informed me of the grant money. He than asked how I wanted to receive it? I told him this was probably a scam, and he raised his voice at me saying, " Well if you think it is, than hang up." So I did! He was saying something as I was hanging up. This scares me because the first caller had all my information like where I lived, my full name, and of course my cell phone #.

I just had the exact same experience. I worked in retail for almost 3 years and as soon as they said it would be using a GreenDot MoneyPak, I knew it was a scam. The government would NEVER Use this as a method of paying a citizen. They would either use direct deposit or they would use paper checks. That's all they would ever use!!!!
I also just got a call from this number, claiming I was too receive a $9,000.00 grant from the government he gave me a western union claim number and this number to call. before I called, I checked on the number here first and found this.
i got the same call say that i was to receive $9000 they asked me how i wanted it i said on my visa card he told me i has to pay 290 but i had to put on a green dot card that sound like a scam
