They're at it again. This scam has apparently been going on for a few years now. These people ask for bank information (routing/account numbers) in order to send an $8400 grant from the "US Department of Treasury." They said I was "randomly" selected to receive it for having a good financial background (paying my taxes on time, by bills on time, not filing for bankruptcy) which made no sense to me. When I asked to receive something in writing from the government, I was told that I must cooperate and give my bank information to receive the money. I obviously did not and told them I wasn't interested. Apparently this is a new number they're using, but there is already a history of this scam on this website listed under the number: 202-407-7177. THIS IS A SCAM.
