Received 4 calls today so far from this number. I have no idea who or what they want. I'm glad I have a block on my phone or else my phone would be ringing off the hook!!!
I received a calls today claiming they were from the Dept of Treasury and that they were awarding me grant money in the amount of $8400. They would not send a check. They wanted a plastic card number, so they could wore transfer the money there. I refused to give it to them so they hung up...
It happened to me this afternoon too..received a phone call from this number .sounded like someone with an accent from a foreign country...claiming to be from Washington D.C... also offering me the same amount of $8400.00, i said... what is the catch? and they there wasn't any..then i asked if it was grant money to pay for education and he said i could use the money to pay that or apply to any bills, etc... I didn't want to go any further with the conversation and hung up., saved the number that came up on my caller i.d. and reporting this to someone...and found this site...so is there some place to have the better business bureau and other federal agents to investigate this matter? and if so we all need to make formal reports...

Same offer ,sounded like someone from India, or thereabouts. I asked for ID and proof of authority. He said they had my phone number (cell), address etc. I told him anyone could get that and I wasn't about to reveal any account data. SCAMMERS...!
