Just received call. They have called all day while I was at work. When I answered the person said they were in Washington, DC. They asked my name then hung up? Weird! I am sure it is a scam. The person I spoke with had an accent. I could barely understand them.
Called and said it was the US treasury and that they had a grant for me. When I asked what i needed to provide they said my bank account number! Do not answer this is a scam!
I just got a phone call from this number. They didn't leave a message and when I tried to send a text to see who it was it came back s landline. After reading the comments on here I am glad I didn't answer.
I also received a call from this number. The man spoke with a heavy accent. He said he was call from dept of us treasury then told me I was entitled to what I thought was $400. I responded and said o yeah the government is just going to give me $400. He then said ARE YOU HARD OF HEARING I SAID $8400. I then told him if he wanted to continue the conversation he better have some respect. He then hung up on me. I knew what type of call this was automatically. I've never received such a call but emails through out the years. This individual has called me over ten times in one day.
