Just received call. They have called all day while I was at work. When I answered the person said they were in Washington, DC. They asked my name then hung up? Weird! I am sure it is a scam. The person I spoke with had an accent. I could barely understand them.
I get those calls too. For a while they stop and then start again. There are PSAs on TV all the time telling folks not to give their info to callers when they didn't initiate the call. Between that and the info available on the internet we can stop them if we don't 'feed' them.

Got this call. Every time I block the number they use a new one. Message said that they were at the police department in my hometown and I needed to call them back immediately. Didn't do that!!! SCAM!!!!
