I received a call from this number saying i had about 3,600 dollars coming back because i haven't filed for bankruptcy and filed my taxes on time, seemed ok at first until they asked for my bank account or debit card number. so i hung up if the government was to give me money wouldn't they send an officiated letter? Especially with all of the fraud going on? it just seems eerie to me that other people would have that info of mine like tax and bankrupcy info. To top it off the guy had an Indian accent which isn't unrealistic but it was odd to me. I called the number back and all i got was that all circuits are busy now and to try again later.

Just received a call from this number which turns out to be a criminal fraud operation from India. The caller tried to get my bank account number claiming I was due a big tax refund. Knew immediately it was a complete scam and hung up on the criminal.
The Lady calling from this number purported to represent the government assigning a "grant" (free money) for some reason which was hard to understand because of her heavy Indian Accent. When she wanted my bank account or plastic card number, I hung up and tried to call back. All circuits were busy.
This time when I got a call that I received a grant, the woman stated she is at Department of the Treasury

I am sure there is a law against representing yourself as a federal treasury employee.
