THIS IS A SCAM. This is a version of the advance-fee-for-something scam where something is a grant, grant paperwork, business plan, loan, scammed-money refund, lottery winnings, interest rate reduction, tax reduction, gift card, refund, doggie, cruise, vacation, free gas, etc., and the advance-fee is for tax, shipping, registration, insurance, secure handling, processing, etc. They may send you a fake check, may want your credit/debit card or bank account number, or tell you to wire cash via Western Union, Moneygram, etc. They can put recurrent difficult-to-cancel monthly charges or a 1-time charge on your card or bank account, and sell account info to other criminals and you'll have to replace accounts altogether. Wired-cash is irretrievable - once it's picked up at the other end, it's untraceable and gone. If they want you to call them up for instructions, they may tell you not to discuss the wire with Western Union desk clerks but the real reason is WU clerks are familiar with these scams and will warn you not to wire the money. If you give them the WU Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) for the wire, they can pick up the money from anywhere in the world. I got a call from this number saying they were gonna give me $7000.00 in my bank account.They said they were calling from the federal goverment.They kept asking for my bank account number. I asked for a call back number to verify this was legit.When I questioned the lady on the phone she got very defensive. SCAM
i just received a call from this number as well and right off the bat they started asking for my bank info and home of record address. i dont know where to report this too so they wont be able to continue this scam.
I just got a call from this number about 2 hours ago saying that this guy is from the united states government grants. he gave me a lady to call name sharon vavins. I asked for her better business bureau license number as she gave me. Then she asked for my grant number and how I get my money I had to send $260 to a chartiy over seas and then I'll get my $7,000 grant money in my bank account today if I did it. I told my mom and she called the number and asked what her name was then the lady " sharon" asked my mom for her name. My mom asked what her nameagain and the lady said who the hell are you. My mom responded saying a government business swaring the lady hung up
