GOVERNMENT: PLEASE HELP CLOSE THE PEOPLE BEHIND SCAMS. THEY ARE BROKEN ENGLISH PEOPLE MOST OF THE TIME. THEY CLAIM TO BE FROM THE UNITED STATES GRANT DEPT HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES. THEY WANT CITIZENS BANK INFORMATION TO DEPOSIT GRANT FUNDS. BULLSH@T. THE CALLER ID SHOWS UP NO CALLER ID. I ASKED HIM FOR HIS NAME AND I BELIEVE HE SAID "Malk" "M.A.L.K.". HE ALSO GAVE ME THIS NUMBER WHEN I ASKED HIM FOR A CONTACT NUMBER 202-986-5231. I GIVE 800notes.com the authority to FORWARD THIS INFORMATION TO THE PROPER AUTHORITIES. I AM SICK OF THESE [***] SCAMMING THE INNOCENT. GOOD LUCK, DOGS. ALSO AFTER I TOLD HIM I WAS A VERY BUSY MAN.....HE HAD THE B@LLS TO SAY HE WAS BUSY TOO AND HUNG UP. LETS NAIL THESE [***] AND CUT THEIR FINGERS AND THROATS.
I received 11 calls from UNKNOWN over a 4-day period. I finally answered because I was bored and it took the woman who answered several seconds to respond. It sounded like she was speaking from a very practiced script and her accent was so thick that I could hardly understand her at all. She said she was from a government agency and because I paid my bills and taxes on time and had no criminal record I was one of 15,000 in my area selected to receive a $7,500 government grant, all I needed to do was confirm my name and address. She then asked which way I would prefer to receive my money: direct deposit, Pre-Paid Visa or MasterCard, or cash. Just to see what would happen, I told her cash and she gave me a Money ID Number and told me to call 202-684-6935, confirm my Money ID Number, and that person would tell me how to receive my cash. I told her good day and hung up. Obviously very scammish sounding as I did not apply for any government grants and they don't just give them out especially since the government is SHUT DOWN!
Well they are still be in business because they just called me and said the same things. Spoke to an Indian speaking man who told me to call 202 # immediatley. After four tries (with no answer) finally on the fifth try I spoke to Tracey Ross who said the same things + options to get the money. This has been going on since 2011 and no one has caught them. How can we get these scammers? Can't the FTC (Federal Trade Complaint) do something about these frauds? "SMH"!
