Take it one step farther. Robo callers hang up on 4 or less rings 99% of the time. Set your voicemail to pick up on 5 rings. This works automatically and you don't have to be home to manually pull the plug. Since your machine didn't connect, your # has not been validated as working.

So many calls lately with no one at the other end, makes me wonder if they are now getting paid per call connected, rather than per take-up?
So many of these numbers are US access numbers for international calls, so many different companies will seem to "call" from the same number and that explains why different people on here report different companies using the same number.
Answered this call ONLY because it was 3:15 AM and I thought it was a family emergency. Said hello a few times and no one answered. There has to be an agency somewhere that can stop them from calling in the middle of the night.
