Got a call fro 202-697-2222 show up as wireless on my caller id they said they were from fed govt grants div and federal reserve would direct deposit $10,200 into my checking or credit card account. When I advised this middle eastern accented clown that I was on do not call list and under no circumstances would I give out any info he got mad said something I didn't understand and I hung up on him
Received a call, stating she is from the us government, grants department and that i have qualified for a grant of 10,000 dollars. All i have to do to claim the money is give her my checking account or credit card information and they will direct deposit it.
got a call from this number, I did not answer because I don't recognize such number. and also thinking if it were important and legitimate, the caller would leave a message. But previous to this call, I received unknown calls a lot of times and again I did not answer
these nonsense callers use a lot of phone numbers, my question is where on earth did they get my number.

It's a scam!! When you try to call back it has a recorded message saying "call rejected". That's how you can find out if they are legit or not. If it WAS a place of business then it would of had a receptionist answering stating the name of the company.
Called from 202-697-2222 asking for ------- ------- (keeping name anonymous for the his privacy purpose). I told her I don't know any ------ -------. She hung up on me. Different numbers have been calling my home phone (land line) for the past year (since acquiring the new phone number) asking for this gentleman. Doesn't matter how many times I tell them I don't know him / to take my number off their contact list, they keep calling anyway.
If asking for a different name each time, I'd figure I'm getting targeted as a legitimate for number to sell or what-not (?) However, it seems to me that this is for collection purposes. Either way, wish there was a way to stop them. Can't seem to block them because every time called is from a different number.
