I also received a call from "unknown" number stating, as previously mentioned, I have been picked from a census to be awarded $7k in grant money from the government. They gave me that number and a grant ID # and was told to call with that information to receive the grant. I didn't cal the number back and they called me back and asked me to call the number. I told him to just xfer me and he hung up. LOL, these people are crazy
I just got the same call about the 7k. I told them I didn't have a bank, credit or debit acct and she said I can go to Walmart money gram and they would transfer the 7k but I would have to take $200 as a security deposit. Yeah OK! Oh and 2 months ago I had the same number but it was the IRS saying I was going to jail if I didn't pay. I told them to come get me.
I just got a phone call from a man named Eric Morrison from the Federal Government stating that I was chosen to receive a $7000 grant. Told me to call 202-697-9326 with and id# that he gave me. I really hope people are not that gullible to think that they would get that much money from the federal government for no reason whatsoever. This is a scam!
