i got a call from a distinctly middle eastern man stating that he was from the "federal Internal Revenue Service" and that there were discrepancies in my taxes from 2008-2012.  i already knew this was a scam call so I played along for a few minutes,  I was "shocked and amazed that I owed more money" and he had my current address and current phone number, but could not tell me the address on my returns,  LOL  He got a little upset and angry when I kept asking him where he was from(I could hear other middle eastern men talking in the background- probably like a call center)  I started screaming at him that i knew what he wasn't from the M***F***ng IRS and i didn't believe a word out of his M***F***ng mouth and politely(NOT) invited him to come on over and I'd teach him some real American values with a healthy dose of BITE ME M*****F****er!!!!click   LMAO
Sad thing is there are too many Americans that are uninformed about these [***] and send them money.. Hey if you want to send a random person your money send it my way! I wish they could use all that energy to do good in the world..

I just got a call today from them .I've heard about this scam in the news already. But so I played the sorry [***] like a fiddle. I let him talk and he said they could take my house and my vehicles and freeze my assets and pull my passport and deport me. Then said that they would arrest me 24 to 28 hours .Ok I started laughing at him and called him some names in arabic and it really steamed him and told his punk a-- that the IRS doesn't call you by phone and doesn't call you and tell you there's going to be a lawsuit. They tell you that in person after you have been notified and they also don't cancel a payment agreement and sue you and throw you in jail. And like you they also said it was 2008 to 2012. My refunds in those years went straight to child support enforcement to pay my support ahead.(had it arranged that way in case I got sick or lost a job) Which I was having health problems then and my support was caught up and ahead and had no problems from FSC. But they said I committed fraud also .

Total scam.  Originates in either India or Pakistan.   Block and ignore.   DO NOT RETURN THE CALL!

I’m an Enrolled Agent with the IRS (Inactive). IRS does not initiate contacts by phone.  US mail only.   IRS does not file lawsuits.   Court action, if any is handled by the DOJ and all parties are entitled to legal assistance if it is a criminal matter.  But--tax disputes are for the most part civil matters.  90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively.  IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes. IRS does not threaten to involve local law enforcement or to arrest you for nonpayment of federal taxes.  IRS has no powers of arrest.    If LE is necessary, US Marshals do the job.  IRS does not cold call anyone and demand immediate payment of  money.  IRS does not ask for financial information over the phone.   IRS does not accept Green card money paks for payment in any case.  No one is prosecuted for ordinary tax disputes. IRS has absolutely no authority over anyone's professional license. Professional licensing is handled by state governments.  Yes, levies on property to satisfy an existing tax obligation do occur, but only after a very long period of negotiation. And yes, liens are placed on individuals but  usually after a lot of negotiation and a failure to reach a settlement.    All determinations of tax liability are subject to appeals.  All  contacts by the IRS are initiated by US mail.
