This number has called several times. Foreign lady just left message she was from IRS and we need to call them back. Will NOT call back. Have had several calls from different Washington DC numbers "claiming" they are the IRS.
Recording. Heavy Hispanic accent, female. Threatening message. "This is the crime division of FBI....serious. issues....call this number...." I hung up. It is a Washington DC number 202 697 9483.
Received a phone call from this number-saying they were with the Fraud Division and serious charges are against us with the IRS. I called them back from a different number. This is a scam as we are current with the IRS and have not received any notices from the IRS. Can someone investigate these people?.
Lady claimed a warrant has been issued for my arrest for tax invasion. She wanted me to get $2786.52 in cash and take it to WalMart or CVS. When I refused, she said authorities would be at my residence to pick me up within 1 hour. I would be detained for 72 hours and the charge was a felony. Instead, I asked for the warrant number and went to the police department.
I guess our Latin American and/or Hispanic friends are now in competition with the Indian/Pakistani scammers for feasting at the lucrative IRS table. Just had a call from a very distinctly Latino/Hispanic accented woman. I guess I'm going to be imprisoned in a Deli, Karachi or Latin North American/Hispanic city. I give up...Im packing my tooth brush, razor and clean underwear.....come get me
