This number 202-725-3183keep calling me then today left a message on my voice mail saying this is the IRS filing a lawsuit against me for i don't know what for but i hate scammer when they use every number they can to get money from you and i know the real number from the IRS you guys are nothing but loser.
Got the exact same voicemail, this morning. Makes me sick. People trying to take advantage (and money!) of hard working people by using scare tactics. I really hope people keep posting so that other people can see that there is NOTHING they have to do but ignore the call(s) & go on with their lives. Maybe report it to the actual IRS, too, because I read somewhere that they want us to report the numbers we get calls from in an attempt to track these thieves down? I'm sure it's a long shot but it certainly doesn't hurt. Sorry for rambling.
Same story. Called and left message to call IRS at that number. Called back and it was busy signal several times. She said I was audited for 2009-2013 taxes and owed over 5000. She couldn't tell me my last name. Very thick accents.
Total sham, I am sad that this still can exist out there. Someone will fall victim. Cannot even select Fraud in Call type below, that is kind of lacking of this site.
