I got the same call a moment ago. The caller sounded Indian and said I was selected to receive $9000 from the government. I told him that it sounded like a scam to me and to please take my number off of the list as I was on the Do Not Call List. He said he understood and we hung up.
I received two calls today purporting to be from this number on Nov 30 2015. Caller ID showed this phone no and "American Red Cross' but the speakers said they were from the US Government and I "was randomly selected to get $9000 from the US Government." Both speakers - one male one female - had thick Indian (subcontinent) accents. I told them both I knew it was a scam and a fraud and wasn't interested and hung up
I got the same call from the same number today, although the guy speaking sounded Jamaican. 202-737-8300, caller ID says Washington DC. He said my cell number was randomly selected to receive $9000 from the US Treasure. Thats all he got out before I said "THIS IS A SCAM!:" and hung up.

This number called me today (about two hours after an Egypt, out of country number) saying I've been selected to receive $9,000 from a US grant system. When I asked to have my # removed 4 different times, each time he said "sorry?" As if he didn't understand. I finally shouted that I'm not interested and they repeated "am I to understand you're not interested?"
I said yes and the line went dead.
A call from Egypt and a call from "American Red Cross" twice in the same day? Both asking the same info. No thank you.
