I got the same call.....that I'd receive 9,000 if I sent a deposit of 250.....I replied that it was a scam then got called a p****y I then argued back and they hung up on me!!
So they stepped up their game. ..lol. I just received a call from an "unknown " number. He said because I have been a good citizen; paying bills on time, not a felon, haven't filed bankruptcy, that I qualify for a $9000 grant. He gave me a number to call and a code. I guess that's when they will ask for my to deposit the money. I didn't bother calling them, I knew it was a scam. How do we report them?
I called the 202-738-1969 and asked why would the government give me money? She got mad and hung up on me because she said I shouldn't ask any questions. Then I received 2 calls bak with no called ID and the first one the guy said , who is the [***] is this? I hung up and they called twice again and I just declined the call. Scam , of course I knew that because the government give you money. They take it !!! I would like yo know how they got my name and address.
I received a phone call from 202 738 1696 telling me that I am going to receive a grant in the amount of 9,000 and all I had to do is send 162.00 and once they received it they will deposit it into my direct deposit. I told the gentleman who said they were from the US Treasury department that since when does the government especially the treasury want money before I receive my money. I did not fall for this one.
