I got the same call.....that I'd receive 9,000 if I sent a deposit of 250.....I replied that it was a scam then got called a p****y I then argued back and they hung up on me!!
Called me 3 times in a row around 10:50AM. I picked up on the last call and a man with a thick Indian accent told me that I had "3 serious alligations against me. There were miscalculations. Something went wrong." He then told me that the IRS had sent me 3 letters of notice but when I told him that I did not receive those letters he confirmed my address - which was correct and that freaked me out. Then he asked what I would like to do and gave me two options: 1. Go on with legal action or 2. Contact his senior supervisor Jack Hoffman to see what else I can do @ 202-810-2985 ext.147
I freaked and contacted my accountant and then because I was thankfully suspicious googled the number. Thank you all!
