I received a call stating that I had paid my taxes or bills on time and was selected by the federal government to receive $7500 in grant money. Then I was advised to call 202-738-4294 and provide my confirmation number to the representative. When I called this morning the representative verified the confirmation number and my information. Then she proceeded to tell me to take a valid ID to a Walmart or Walgreens to collect the funds. The only thing I would have to do for the funds to be released is purchase a greendot money card for $300 and provide the with the card number to her with the $300 on it and then they can release the $7500 grant money..

same here, caller claims grant money has been awarded, collect through western union, or direct deposit to checking account or credit card. SCAM!
