Was hit with the same scam today. The guy used almost the exact same language as others above have reported. Said he was a supervisor from the legal department of the IRS. He said the police and FBI are on their way to arrest me for cheating on my taxes. I could not understand him well (had heavy Indian accent) so I asked to speak to someone else who could speak English better. Then, he said just wait for the police and FBI. They are coming to arrest you. Then he hung up. It was scary. I have never been in any kind of legal trouble. Please find out who this is and stop it.
Got number of phone calls.
1) From 1-202-751-2458 Caller left a voice message with Indian accent. Stating he is Max Clinton calling from IRS and letting you know that IRS has filed a low-suit against you, And asked you to call at 202-751-2458 immediately.If not all he can do is wish you good luck as events that may follow.
2) another message I got was from someone calling Franklin Benjamin from Federal Security Bureau from department of taxation asked to call at 1-888-508-7657 to avoid arrest.

You can't stop the calls from being initiated, but the call blocker gives you some protection. Watch out for (202) area code calls and do not pick up on numbers you don't recognize.
the irs is sueing me ..... "attention this is about the irs , sueing you call immediately. "
I figured it was a scam when they never mentioned my name and also I had a second message almost identical to the first
They called my grandma and said he was max clinton and she owed money and wished her luck, pretending to be irs. Called him back, he knew her info, I got in an argument said he would call the police and hung up.
