I wait, talk to the human, and help them to realize they have the worstest job in the world. Then I add them to my cell phone, but mark the SEND DIRECTLY TO VOICEMAIL box. A few choice words describing her [***] helps too.
Called my phone but I did not answer. No message left. I called back and got a greeting that said, "the number you are calling has a voicemail that has not been set up yet.
Called on my cell, a number which I have only given to family and close friends. Caller ID reads "District of Columbia". I don't know anyone there, so hit the "reject" button. Figured it was either a political ad or a bottom feeder. Looks like it was probably a bottom feeder.
I gave up on the FTC DNC, as they never do anything and it just wastes my time. I let the answering machine answer these calls and while I am wasting their time for a message I will just delete, it ties up one of their telephone lines and delays someone else getting a call.
Do the same thing and waste their time just to ignore it, so that you can tie up their phone lines and waste their money!
