Got the same call today, foreign lady by name of Rachel Green, also said i received this grant for 9,000.00 dollars, because my name was picked with 1,500 other people I paid my taxes, no bankruptcies, and made my house payments on time etc.... Scam, asked to purchase a registration card from the federal reserve bank in New York, New York. Told to not reveal any information from this call or the cinformatiin I.D. code given, call her before I went into Walmart for exact information on what card to purchase plus a sixteen digit number on the registration card, because I didn't apply for this grant, I had to fill out this registration card so it would be tax free and free of IRS. sounded too good, I did however applied for a government grant recently, but she said it wasn't the same application because I was picked by the federal government to be issued this money by random. Life could be peachy if these scams were valid, but peaches do spoil quickly in the heat of the moments of 15 minutes!
They called from (630) 518-0000 Aurora, IL. I got the same story of because I've paid my taxes on time, have never filed for bankruptcy, and have good credit the government wants to give me $9,000. The government usually wants to take your money, not give it away for free!
Same they just called me i told I'll go buy a reloadable card and they can send it to my card. But the lady hung up on me and now says the Google subscriber your trying to call is no longer in service.. Who would of thought.
I received the same call, $9000 grant and all I have to do is purchase a gift card for $250. I put them off until tomorrow so I could research it. Thanks for reporting! I won't fall for it! :-)
Got the same call today but was smart enough to research it first also tried to get him to mail it to me to explain it further but he just came back with "don't you understand what I am telling you?".
