I've been getting calls from this # for the past couple weeks. It comes up as ALA on the caller ID. Answered once and no one was there. This is extremely annoying. I, too, am on the DNC list.
I just called ALA (American Lung Assn), they said that yes, these calls come from a company we have hired to make them. I asked to have my phone number removed and she was very polite and said she would send my number to the appropriate person to get it removed. here is the phone number for American Lung Assn to call and get your number removed 3120891-7630. I too have been getting 2 -4 calls a day from different spoofed 202-794-xxxx numbers and just got fed up with it. Good luck
Caller ID shows "Washington DC" and gives the number below. It is my understanding that no group, profit, non-profit, not-for-profit, charitable, professional, etc., is supposed to make calls like this on Sundays. Yet this very persistent group does so. I'm not so sure that they are not the group which has been spoofing my own name and number--as if I could call myself using my own (one-line) telephone. I refuse to answer these calls. It's annoying but probably less annoying than if I did answer so as to acknowledge that my number is a valid, working number. (They don't even get an answering-machine message either.)
We are getting calls from 202-794-6196 at least 4 times per day ! This has been going on for over a week now ! We do not answer the phone. The ID they use is ALA
What good is the Do Not Call list !!!???
How can I stop this caller ??
