We had the same issue as well but in my case someone said their name was officer Walters.
I received a call like this before as well and then I called the ACTUAL IRS dept and was told there was no issues with my account so def a scam and as someone else mentioned as well it was mentioned on the news this morning that there's a lot of IRS scams going on.
