Because if this organization, and others in the same area code, I block all of area code 202. My phone doesn't ring. I used the Digitone Call Blocker. My only complaint with that device is that is blocks only a total of 80 numbers and area codes/exchanges. I used up all 80 within a month.
If it is the American Lung Association I donated to them and now they call and never stop. I might not contribute to any charity this year since you will not be able to deduct it. Leave me alone and go to Obama for the money!
The deduction for charitable contributions will be phased out for high-income earners but it will still be fully deductible for middle-income earners. High-income earners can still contribute the after-tax fraction of their usual charitable contributions without affecting the net dollars leaving their pockets.
