I DO NOT answer phone unless I recognize number. My ans. machine is NEVER on. Friends/relatives know my cell. If I answer then YES, they will sell the number. I keep a LIST beside my phone with these numbers and when a new number comes in, I find it n call notes. This has cut down on many, many calls because I DO NOT ANSWER.
I've been suddenly getting two strange kind of calls that show up on my caller ID at my house. One is the incoming call phone number AND ID is 000-000-0000. The other incoming call to the house is the house phone number calling itself! I picked up that one the first time and you could tell someone was there but they did not respond to my "Hello?" I only said it once and then was silent; wanted to see who would hang up first so I was quiet for a decent amount of time and they never hung up and the call did not disconnect. You could still tell you were connected to another line (I can't explain it). I don't understand how they can do that ... having my house call itself with how my name shows up on Caller ID. Don't understand the all zeros either. Anyone else get either of these kinds of calls?
