(202) 864-0123 - called and hung up on my line (a IRS tax Representation firm) so I cb to see who it was (thinking it was a prospect)
Line was answered on 3rd ring by an indian sounding fellow who answered the phone 'Thank you for calling The Internal Revenue Service'
Googling this phone number does not bring up any IRS phones listed on the internet and in my experience (20 years as an employee at IRS Rep companies) The IRS does not answer on the 3rd ring and there was no ACD / Trunk Que Announcement. He also did not give his Employee ID or Badge number as is policy.

THEREFORE I BELIEVE THIS IS PROBABLE IRS SCAM - BEWARE. IF THIS NUMBER CALLS YOU AS IRS DOES NOT NORMALLY CALL PEOPLE

This number just called me saying I had a warrant for fraud and asked me for my account info for my bank

Do you just calling me and hanging up on me. When I called them back but no answer.

Missed a call from them today. Called back after work, and they picked up on the fourth ring and said "Internal Revenue Service". Person answering did not give his name or any reference number. When I would only give my first name, he responded "goodbye then" and hung up the phone.

I'm continuously getting call from this number 3 & 4 times & There is male he said I'm calling you from IRS & there is legal penalties against me. At that time there is distortion in line when I call back then my call get dropped after just receive it.
