I got two calls from this number and received the same messages as the rest of you about the lawsuit. These @ssh@les are wasting my time, as I went all the way downtown on my lunch break to the IRS office. The line was 3 hours long. Luckily I bailed and came back to google the number. SO RUDE AND SO ILLEGAL!!
I received a recorded message from 202-864-1229 stating, "Hello. We have been trying to reach you. This call is officially a final notice from IRS, Internal Revenue Services. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing a Lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file please call us on our department number 202-864-1229. I repeat 202-864-1229. Thank you."
Called back from my cell and it didn't go through. Wanted to really f with them, but didn't want to use my home phone. Had the same thing happen a few months ago and answered the call that time...thick Middle Eastern/Indian accent named Dave. Ya right...Messed with him for a but till I got bored and hung up.
I had a message on my machine and flipped out. Tried to call from cellphone and my carrier said I could not make the call. Used a landline and it rang with no response. So I googled the number and found this information. Thanks for the postings
