I got the same foreigner trying to tell me if I don't call back and ignore this phone call, all I can do is wish you good luck..... he was definitely indian or something... I'm sick of these, I just got one last week that said they were the treasury dept and I had committed tax fraud and watch my back because they are coming to arrest me!!!!!!!

(long sigh) Wishing you "good luck as the situation unfolds upon you" was a line of false urgency first used several years ago by foul criminals in South Asia trying to collect on bogus payday loan debts. That scheme became better known after the FTC busted Broadway Global Master and a whole nest of cronies in Corona, California. These fake tax debt calls which started up circa 2014 are remarkably similar, to the point that I think the PDL scripts were lightly edited, scribbling out "loan" and "check fraud" and inserting "back taxes".
