I got called and messege from Jonathan Knight with a heavy indian accent, Saying that he was Calling from the Federal Bureau of IRS dept and his badge number was 41737 . He say that I need it to call them back cause thers was fraud on my taxes. I need it to resolve the issue right away. needless to say i called back with heavier indian accent and told them my name was Mohanmed, That I was really scare so he threaten me to have me arrested , After that I lost my heavy indian accent and started to chew and cussed him out . I told him that I have already reported to the police and they needed to stod harrasing people. Of course he idiot hang up.
The caller left a message on our home answering machine identifying himself as "Johnathan Knight" with the "Federal Investigation Department of the IRS" and his "badge number is 46719." The message was threatening stating something about being investigated for tax fraud, forthcoming legal action, and we must call back as soon as possible to resolve the matter. The caller never provides their call back phone number in the message and never mentions who they are attempting to contact (there are three adults who live in our household). The caller's voice has a prominent foreign accent (possibly East Indian) and does not speak English very well. I did a reverse number search on whitepages.com and the service provider for the phone number I'm reporting is Voxbone VoIP who has offices in San Francisco and Simi Valley, CA.(https://www.voxbone.com/aboutus-contact.jsf). This is obviously a scam and I plan to report this to the local authorities.
Same scam as reported above but Johnathan Knight said his badge number is 06719. He said to call him back on his direct line but never gave that number. I will be reporting this again
